Bridge for Novice Players: 0-199 Masterpoint Limit
Join other novice bridge players for a morning of educational play with Bridge Director Stacey Tessler. Play duplicate bridge with others at your level. Hand records and electronic scoring provided. You can even earn ACBL masterpoints. A short lecture precedes the game. Call Stacey at 734.255.1269. Lecture begins at 9 a.m.; games, 9:30 a.m. Saturdays, Sept. 21, Nov. 2 and Dec. 7. Fall at the Ann Arbor Farmers Market
It’s fall and harvest season is here! We have loads of summer produce plus all the fall goodies like cider, apples, mums, pumpkins, garlic and more. Visit us Wednesday and Saturday, 7 a.m.-3 p.m. 315 Detroit St.

Customer Appreciation Skate
Veterans Memorial Indoor Ice Arena is open for the season. We hope to see you tomorrow (Saturday, Sept. 21) at our Customer Appreciation Skate, 1-2:30 p.m. Skate for free with $3 skate rentals. Enjoy light refreshments. 2150 Jackson Ave.

Stewardship Workdays
Please wear long pants and closed-toe shoes. All participants must complete a release form, and all minors should be accompanied by a guardian. Tools, snacks, and know-how provided.
Saturday, Sept. 21
* Cedar Bend Nature Area. 1-4 p.m. Work with us to protect this forest from invading non-native shrubs. We’ll be using hand saws and loppers to remove these invasive species. We’ll also be picking up trash along the river. Meet us at the Island Park parking lot, at the end of Island Drive.

* Sunday, Sept. 22
Ruthven Nature Area, 9 a.m.-noon. Lend a hand to continue our restoration work by cutting exotic shrubs to keep them from re-establishing in these areas. Meet at the Gallup boat launch parking lot, at the southeast corner of Huron Parkway and Geddes Road.

* Furstenberg Nature Area, 1-4 p.m. Take part in our effort to care for  native wildflowers by clearing away non-native shrubs such as honeysuckle. Meet in the parking lot off Fuller Road.

Nature Walk with Natural Area Preservation and the Ann Arbor District Library
Thursday, Sept. 26, Bluffs Nature Area, 6-7:30 p.m. Join us for a family-friendly nature walk through this diverse park to see how nature is changing as fall begins. Meet at the entrance on Sunset Road near Wildt Street. Wear comfortable clothes and bring water if desired.

Private swim Lessons
Individual swim instruction for swimmers ages 3 to adult, each private lesson is 30-minutes long and customized to meet the needs of the swimming participant. Please call to find out dates and times available; space is very limited. Private lessons are for one participant only. Half hour $15 resident/$18 nonresident. Register for five private lessons, and get the sixth free. Register for eight lessons, get two free.

Fall Golf Scramble – Register Today

New Workshop Focused on Healing
Adults 55+ please join us for a spirituality and coping workshop at the Ann Arbor Senior Center. Sept. 27, 1-4 p.m. This is a free program that helps people who are coping with the loss of a loved one. The class gives you the opportunity to share your experiences with others dealing with similar feelings. This workshop also addresses spirituality and what it may mean to you.
