Leslie Park Golf Course Temporarily Closed Due to the Weather
Leslie Park Golf Course closed today, Thursday, Oct. 31 and will remain closed through Sunday, Nov. 3 due to the weather. We will reopen on Monday, Nov. 4. Shop and Eat Local at the Ann Arbor Farmers Market
Join us tomorrow 7 a.m.-3 p.m. at the market. You’ll find pie pumpkins, gourds, cider, donuts, apples, hot apple cider and coffee, fresh greens, garlic, root vegetables and more. Natural Area Preservation Stewardship Workdays
Please wear long pants and closed-toe shoes. All participants must complete a release form, and all minors should be accompanied by a guardian. Tools, snacks and know-how provided.
* Saturday, Nov. 2, Kuebler Langford Nature Area, 9 a.m.-noon. Kuebler Langford is home to both a woodland and a prairie with abundant native plants. Help us remove non-native shrubs to protect this diversity. We’ll also collect seeds to spread in lower-quality areas. Meet at the park entrance on Beechwood Drive, north of Sunset Road.
* Sunday, Nov. 3, Berkshire Creek Nature Area, 1-4 p.m. This park alongside Mallets Creek is crowded with exotic shrubs such as honeysuckle. Lend a hand to clear out these shrubs. Meet at the end of Warwick Rd. off Glenwood and north of Washtenaw Avenue.
November Parks & Crafts Event
Saturday, Nov. 9, 1-3 p.m. is Parks & Crafts at Veterans Memorial Park Ice Arena. Join us for our November craft project (a recycled bird feeder) lead by The Ecology Center staff. The craft is free, and if you sign up in advance, by Nov. 5, you will receive a free skate rental and open skate admission. RSVP to email@example.com.
