What’s Happening: This Memorial Day Weekend at Ann Arbor Parks

With warming temperatures and the month of May coming to an end, that can only mean one thing … summer! As you know, we typically celebrate the change of seasons with the opening of the outdoor pools on Memorial Day weekend. While that won’t happen this year, that doesn’t mean there aren’t countless activities you can enjoy in the Ann Arbor parks – including the more than 160 parks and nature areas we all proudly value. We have created a webpage with COVID-19 updates that relate to the parks and programming impacted at this time.

With that being said, we wanted to remind you of the activities you can enjoy now and in the coming weeks and months in the parks. We’ve selected six trails in Ann Arbor for you to explore! Attached is a map that will help you enjoy your hike through Bird Hills Nature Area, Black Woods Pond Nature Area, Cedar Bend Nature Area, Furstenberg Nature Area, Mary Beth Doyle Park and Marshall Nature Area.

Face masks will be required for golfers in the clubhouse when it opens. Additionally, we debuted a new fleet of fuel efficient EFI Yamaha golf carts for you to enjoy. You can rent a golf cart with the following safety measures in place. We look forward to seeing you soon! For a detailed list of safety guidelines, visit our website.

At this time, the following terms apply to golf cart use:
• A maximum of two carts per tee time.
• Two riders can be in the same cart if they are from the same household, otherwise we permit one rider and one walker per cart.
• Exceptions to the two carts per group are allowed to accommodate a golfer with a disability who requires a cart under state or federal law.
• Physical distancing is expected at your cart as well as at the tee boxes and greens.
• A2Golf staff will thoroughly sanitize golf carts after each use, and sanitized carts will be tagged as clean. For the safety of our staff and guests, tee times must be made and paid for online only.
