St. Joseph Mercy Chelsea appoints new board chairman and four new board members

CHELSEA – St. Joseph Mercy Chelsea has appointed Jason Lindauer, CRPC, Senior Vice President for Merrill Lynch Wealth Management, chairman of its board of trustees, effective January 2020.  Lindauer replaces Michael Coghlan, Managing Partner of KHK Ventures, LLC, and Director of Ann Arbor State Bank, who completed his appointment on December 31, 2019.

Currently, Lindauer leads a team of five financial advisors and client associates at The Lindauer Group, a Meryl Lynch Wealth Management Group he founded.  Having held the role since 2010, Lindauer manages more than $190 million in assets and provides his clients with strategic, goals-based portfolio development, liability management, tax minimization and asset preservation services.  He is a graduate of Adrian College, where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree, and has completed advanced financial programs at the University Of Chicago Graduate School Of Business in Chicago and The Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.

As a resident of Chelsea, Lindauer has a long history of volunteer work and public service in the community.  He held the position of Mayor Pro Tem of Chelsea from 2004-2009 and Mayor of Chelsea from 2009-2017.  He is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Chelsea Downtown Development Authority and the Finance and Administrative Board for Ann Arbor Spark.  In addition, he is currently an Assistant Varsity Football Coach at Chelsea High School, a position he has held for 16 years.

Also effective January 2020, St. Joe’s Chelsea announced the addition of four new board members.  They are: 

  • Member-at-Large: Julie Helber, Ed.D, Superintendent, Chelsea School District
  • Member-at-Large: Cindy Rhodes, Community Member, and Former School Psychologist, Chelsea School District
  • Member-at-Large: Monica Holmes, Biomedical Researcher, Department of Computational Medicine & Bioinformatics and Human Genetics, Michigan Medicine
  • Member-at-Large: Bruno DiGiovine, M.D., MPH, Division Head of Medical Specialties, IHA
