Tennis: Skyline nets first-place finish at Utica Eisenhower quad

The Skyline tennis team warmed up for Wednesday’s Regional by taking first place at the Utica Eisenhower Quad on Saturday. The Eagles landed with 17 points to finish first, one point ahead of St. Clair in the four-team event.

Eisenhower finished third (12) followed by Clarkston.

Skyline had three first-place finishes, including two at doubles. They took second in three flights.

Here are how the Eagles did on the courts.


1st Singles: Anthony Van Oyen: 3rd place 1-2

2nd Singles:  Arya Joshi: 2nd place 2-1

3rd Singles:  Arjun Joshi: 2nd place 2-1

4th Singles:  Daniel Rogers: 1st place 3-0


1st Doubles:  Nikhil Gunaratnam/Alex Veryidan: 1st place 3-0

2nd Doubles:  Sam Begosso/Michael Zhou: 2nd place 2-1

3rd Doubles:   Ethan Sung/Andrew Cooke: 1st place 3-0

4th Doubles: Aidan Osofisan/Will Kersch 3rd place 1-2
