United Way of Washtenaw Launches COVID-19 Community Relief Fund

Updated March 15, 2020-Ann Arbor, MI – United Way of Washtenaw County has launched an emergency relief fund to raise funds for the emerging and critical needs of the community due to the coronavirus pandemic.  With initial support from the Song Family Foundation, this fund’s goal is to raise more than $250,000 to offer emergency relief and ensure resources are available in Washtenaw County.

Nonprofit agencies anticipate a surge in neighborhood needs, unchartered service requests and increased staff capacity needs and operating reserve needs.  100% of the funds raised will be used to help non-profits meet the needs of the vulnerable populations including those needing food, children, families facing loss of income due to business closures, health issues and those experiencing housing crisis.
